Manual locks are considered no good today. The presence of a locksmith at every corner of the street has made the task of getting a duplicate key child’s play. In times like these all of us have shown high level of faith in the fancy number locks. Not like we believe in what fancy locks have got to offer but maybe they are 5% better than the traditional ones plus pretty sophisticated.

I can’t say about sophistication but security is something we all need to rethink about. The Combo Breaker is a motorized, battery powered, 3D printed, Arduino based device that can crack any Master combination lock in less than 30 seconds. It is a simple device which can be built by anybody. Combo Breaker uses a simple program which exploits manufacturing flaw of the combination disks present in the lock which has a difference sort of resistance to certain numbers. What it does is not very different from a brute force attack used to crack passwords on a system. Within seconds without any human interaction, your lock is opened.
